Description

This three-storey cottage which accommodates seven people and two dogs, is located on a hillside in the lovely village of Parracombe near Lynton.

Laurel Cottage has been beautifully decorated to provide modern living with some cute cottagey touches. The living room has a high ceiling, large window, a woodburning stove with alcoves either side and plenty of comfy seating around the television. There is a separate dining room and a sunny conservatory for relaxing in all year round. The spacious kitchen and a useful utility room complete the accommodation on the ground floor; whilst on the first floor there are two king-sized bedroom – one with a four poster bed and an en-suite bathroom and a family bathroom with a roll top bath and a separate shower. One of the bedrooms leads into two additional smaller bedrooms – one with two cots and one with a single bed suitable for a child. On the second floor there are two further bedrooms which both have sloping ceilings and are reached by climbing steep, narrow stairs with low headroom. Reviews

Lovely cottage to stay in.

Mrs Clare B,

Property very clean and tidy when we arrived. Excellent garden for dogs (escape proof)

Mrs Rosemary H,

The cottage was quaint and very well equipped. The beds were extremely comfortable.

Mr James F,

We were made to feel very welcome. A card welcoming us was left in the kitchen, along with milk, tea, coffee and mince pies. A Christmas tree and other decorations had been put up and crackers, plus a bottle of presseco provided. Fire wood for an initial fire was also made available. All these things made it feel homely and special. The cottage was booked by my sister, who lives in the area, on our behalf.

Mrs Sally B,

We absolutely loved this place! It was so homely, lovely and clean and so very well equipped, with everything you could possibly need whatever you chose to make or do! (We have an Aga at home so this wasn't an issue for us) We ate outside most of the time - or in the wonderful Fox and Goose pub just down the road. The beds were comfortable and luxurious, I loved having a dressing room and my son loved all the stairs and rooms leading to other rooms. I would definitely recommend this property and would love to return in the Autumn or at Christmas. It felt like a home from home and was so relaxing and welcoming. Well done to the owners and to Steph for making it so!

Mrs Paula B,
