Description
Sitting high on the hill above Lynton, Briar Cottage has the most amazing village and sea views. Sleeping six people in three bedrooms and welcoming two dogs, this detached cottage has fully enclosed gardens and parking for three cars on the driveway. Both the living room and dining room have woodburners – with a television in the living room a CD player in the dining room, there are plenty of options for the whole party. The living room has underfloor heating and a wood burner for chillier evenings and also benefits from a small snug with large bay windows which make the most of the stunning sea views. The kitchen/breakfast room has a country house feel to it with a ceramic tiled floor, pine dresser and solid wood work surfaces whilst the adjoining utility room is a handy addition. Upstairs all three bedrooms have magnificent views of the countryside and sea. The master double benefits from an en-suite shower room, leaving the remaining two twin rooms to share the family bathroom which has a bath and separate shower cubicle. Outside, a cute winding path leads to the front door through the lawned garden. The well-placed patio with outside dining table and chairs has the most amazing panoramic view over Lynton and out to sea. The whole garden has a wrought iron fence surrounding it – perfect for young children and dogs. Lynton, with its good mix of restaurants, tea rooms, pubs and shops is a short walk downhill – or drive if you don’t want the exhilarating walk back up! The famous Lynton & Lynmouth funicular Cliff Railway is the most exciting way to travel down to Lynmouth - enjoy stunning views of the North Devon Coastline as you ride the steepest, totally water powered railway in the world!
