Treetops has been aptly named - this hillside cottage is so high up, it sits above the trees. Occupying a wing of a large house on a hillside near the village of Lynmouth, this delightful two-bedroomed cottage sleeps three people and their four-legged friend. There is a lovely open-plan lounge/diner which overlooks the valley and leads into a galley-style kitchen at the back and a small utility area housing the washing machine. Upstairs, the master bedroom is at the front of the house and shares the same wonderful views as the lounge-diner. There is a single room at the back of the house and both bedroom share the use of the family bathroom which has a shower over the bath. Outside, a private terrace at the front of the house enjoy fabulous views and there is a further shared terrace offering an alternative place to sit back and relax.

Treetops is just a short walk away from the centre of Lynmouth with its wide variety of shops, restaurants, pubs and cafes. Lynmouth is a timeless village that has recovered from the depths of despair following the floods in 1952. The village was ravaged by torrents of water during the summer of 1952 but has since been lovingly restored, and a memorial museum now stands proudly in the village, offering a sobering experience of the moments after the floods struck. Often known as 'Little Switzerland’, the area is a walker’s paradise – if you’re feeling energetic, try the spectacular Watersmeet circuit, or for something new why not give a geocaching trail a go. For a unique coastal walk, follow the path from Lynton to the iconic Valley of Rocks, famous for its unusual geology and intrepid goats!
