Description

Mount Rose is a large detached family house sleeping 12 and 2 pets. Its elevated position takes advantage of the stunning views across the valley and towards the sea.  A brisk downhill walk, or few minutes’ drive, brings you down into the village of Woolacombe with its 3 miles of award winning golden sands, magnificent surf and variety of family friendly shops, cafes and pubs. For ventures further afield, the wild expanse of the Exmoor National Park offers a dramatic and picturesque environment where flora and fauna co-exist. If you are fortunate you might well spot Exmoor ponies, herds of the famous Red Deer or even a stag.  Pretty villages in and around Exmoor are great for exploring and in many you will find quaint tea shops offering tempting refreshments.

With large gardens, balconies and a choice of indoor seating areas Mount Rose provides plenty of space for everyone.  A sloping driveway and steps lead up to the entrance on the first floor.  The main living room is on this floor to take advantage of the stunning country and sea views. Here everyone can relax on comfy sofas or open the floor-to-ceiling bi-focal doors and enjoy views from the large decked balcony. A cosy wood burner in the living room means everyone can snuggle up on cooler evenings.   There are 3 bedrooms and a family bathroom with separate walk-in shower on this floor. The lower level has an open plan layout which is light and spacious with a high quality, well equipped kitchen, dining area and snug. A large dining table with seating for 12 allows everyone to enjoy meal times together.  There is also a cloakroom on this floor. The six bedrooms are shared between the first and 2nd floors. On the first floor you will find a double with patio doors to the garden and two twin bedded rooms.  The remaining bedrooms which are on the floor above comprise a king with private balcony with sea views and en-suite shower room, a further king also with private balcony and a twin bedded room with Juliet balcony overlooking the garden. This floor also has a shower room.

There’s a great choice of outside space for everyone to find their own place of relaxation be it on one of the three large balconies, the fully enclosed tiered garden at the back of the property with patio and garden furniture or the additional patio area. A garage is provided for 1 car and also has room for storing surfboards and bicycles. Additional driveway parking is available for 3 cars.

This is a perfect property and location for families or groups of friends to spend relaxed time together with the bonus of easy access to three miles of a glorious sandy, surfing beach and local facilities within walking distance.
