Description
It will be hard to leave this apartment and go out for the day due to the magnificent views of Woolacombe Bay and Putsborough Sands. With two sets of huge patio doors opening up onto a balcony from the lounge/diner, there is always something to catch the eye and draw you over. The Apartment is a modern, well-equipped holiday home on one level which is in fact the top floor of the owner’s detached home in a quiet residential part of Woolacombe. The light and airy living/dining area has comfortable settees, a gas fire to accompany the gas central heating for chillier evenings and television with DVD. The open-plan style of the lounge/diner makes this a lovely room to relax in and enjoy the view. The modern kitchen is well-equipped with everything you will need to cook up a treat while on holiday. The Apartment is a very short walk to Woolacombe Beach which lies between Morte Point and Baggy Point. This three-mile long stretch of golden sand is renowned for its cleanliness, water quality and facilities. Lifeguards ensure safe swimming during the summer and surfers come from all over the country to enjoy the great waves and clean water. The beach has been voted the number 1 beach in the UK by Tripadvisor in 2015 & 2016. It also holds the ‘England for Excellence Gold Award’ for best family resort and was voted the Best British Beach in the Mail On Sunday. Woolacombe itself is a lively village with great pubs, restaurants and places to stay. It’s hard to pick a favourite from the ever-growing list, but for location and a totally unique experience alone it is hard to ignore Barricane Beach Café. On this sandy cove, just on the outskirts of the village, this seasonal beach café rustles up baguettes, wraps, jacket potatoes, cakes and coffees during the daytime and on fine summer evenings delicious currys are available as you pick your spot on the beach to watch the sun go down. For golf lovers there is a 9-hole pitch and putt course in the grounds of a local hotel. A small admission fee is charged but hours of entertainment are guaranteed.
