Description
This roomy first floor apartment enjoys stunning panoramic views out over the Atlantic and along the three mile beach towards Woolacombe. The unique development sits proudly on the hillside above the beach surrounded by open countryside. Facilities available include an indoor heated swimming pool. The building is approached along a narrow lane through lush countryside and sits in an enviable position with views from National Trust's Baggy Point, along three miles of golden sands to Morte Point. The apartment has attractive decor and comfy furnishings of a high standard. The main living area is dual aspect with gorgeous views and doors out to the balcony with patio furniture for al fresco dining with a backdrop of spectacular sunsets. Two tidy bedrooms and two shower rooms make Apartment 9 the perfect base for a North Devon holiday. Croyde is a short drive away. Its beach is rated as one of the best surfing beaches in the world. There is an RNLI Lifeguard service available every day from May to September, during the Easter weekend, every weekend in October and during the October half term. If you like rock pooling, head to each end of the beach. And for walkers, there are several footpaths around the village and up to Baggy Point where you’ll be rewarded with an amazing view. This whole area is a designated Site of Special Scientific Interest for its geological features. Croyde has plenty of places to hire wet suits, surf boards, canoes and fishing equipment. Drive beyond Croyde to Barnstaple, which is the commercial and agricultural centre of North Devon. It is a charming place that comfortably blends a handsome past with an energetic, present-day buzz. It has a mix of cutting-edge retail outlets, long-established family owned stores and little boutiques. The pannier market hosts local food producers interspersed with dozens of cafes. There’s also a lovely 1930s cinema in town which offers four modern screens showing the latest releases as well as live screenings of major theatre productions
