With amazing views over the wooded valley above the small village of Lee, this spacious and beautifully presented detached family home sleeps ten people and two dogs. Briarwood has nearly an acre of grounds with lawns, flowerbeds, apple tree and small spring fed stream, a woodburner for chillier evenings, a games room and sunny patio. The large living room with its four leather settees, has windows at the front and side which make the most of the stunning views, an attractive fireplace housing the wood burner and French doors leading into a separate dining room. The spacious kitchen has a real farmhouse feel to it with light oak units, granite work surfaces and terracotta stone tiled floor. French doors lead from the kitchen into a games room which in turn has patio doors opening out onto a sunny terrace and the garden. A useful utility room completes the rooms downstairs. Upstairs, all the bedrooms are beautifully presented. Two of the rooms have king-size beds and en-suite shower rooms, two have twin beds and the fifth bedroom is a single with a stowaway bed underneath. There is a spacious and modern family bathroom with a separate shower cubicle. Briarwood is a few minutes’ walk away from the village of Lee and its wonderfully secluded beach - Lee Bay which is a sand and shingle beach. The bay is flanked on either side by an imposing rocky coastline. Set in a wooded combe which is sometimes referred to as "Fuchsia Valley" Lee has no problem living up to its Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty status.

Few holiday cottages live up to their marketing verbiage BUT Briarwood does and goes much further.... excellent house in an excellent locations. One of the very best holiday homes we have ever stayed in... and we have been to many over the years... it’s all the small details that make the difference... Briarwood has an abundance of small details.

A fabulous house in stunning location. Everything top quality. Spacious and so well equipped. Julie from Marsdens kindly managed to arrange a slightly earlier check in for us as weather was so poor the day we arrived. Very pleased with Marsdens customer service. Love this part of North Devon and have been visiting here for over thirty years .

We have visited this area every year for the past 30 years and this is by far the best holiday home we have stayed in and we will definitely return. We have all loved the garden and stunning views and there has been plenty of space for our expanding family and pets! Very special thank you to the housekeepers who must work so hard keeping this house to such a high standard - superb! And a big thanks to the owner for providing so many extra touches and for the wonderful equipment in the kitchen - just everything you need is here and all excellent quality too. Best holiday house in Devon! Thank you for thinking of everything to make our stay so happy. Weather also brilliant - we have been so lucky. We appreciated the lovely garden and of course the pool table.

Briarwood is by far and away the best house we have stayed in within the north Devon area (we’ve expereince three other rentals in Lee and one in Croyde). The cleanliness of the house and quality of fixtures, fittings and equipment were exceptional. Thank you for making our family celebration of a 60th birthday so special. We very much hope we’ll be back!
I would like to compliment the owners on the overall design of the cottage and its environs.In particular the patios were spacious and the patio furniture gave a great sense of well being. Great kitchen and the interior was light and airy.We would like to come again.
