The Old School House is situated in a tiny hamlet in an elevated position with lovely countryside and estuary views above the picturesque village of Instow which is within walking distance.  The village of Instow with its glorious sandy beach offers a selection of restaurants and cafes, or just simply enjoy a local Hockings ice cream situated along the marine parade looking across to the pretty village of Appledore adorned with pastel painted fisherman’s cottages. The Tarka Trail is close by and this can take you along the coast which can be enjoyed by cyclists or walkers.  In the summer you can even take the local ferry across to Appledore from Instow.

The cottage has retained a lot of its character with natural stone walls, oak beams and wooden flooring, and even has a unique spiral staircase which may be unsuitable for guests with restricted mobility.  The property has a delightful garden with a decked area and barbecue for those family get togethers in the evening.
