Description
The Hollies' stunning bay window with panoramic sea views would be enough to keep you transfixed for your entire holiday, but when you're ready to go out and explore, you could not be in a better place. The accommodation is a beautifully presented modern apartment - perfect for couples who enjoy top quality close to the beating heart of the town. An attractive south facing decked patio area allows for al fresco dining or sitting and relaxing in the sun. A brisk 15 minute walk takes you down to the harbour and fine choice of restaurants, pubs and shops. For bird watchers, there is the opportunity to take a boat trip across to stunning Lundy Island or pay a visit to the unusual but nevertheless eyecatching Landmark Theatre. The roomy living/dining room with stylish fireplace and exceptional sea views has a large leather sofa which doubles up as a bed if need be, offering more flexible sleeping arrangements. The double bedroom has a wall mounted flat screen TV and patio doors out to the rear patio. While you're in the harbour, take a look at Damien Hirst’s infamous bronze statue Verity and the Tunnels Beaches or the award-winning Ilfracombe Aquarium, fascinating Ilfracombe Museum, Larkstone Leisure Park, Hele Cornmill and Chambercombe Manor - one of Britain's most haunted houses. In fact there’s so much to do on the doorstep, that you may not even need to get in the car. But when you do, a short drive takes you to Exmoor National Park, which has Europe’s very first International Dark Sky Reserve, the tallest tree in England, the highest cliffs in England, almost 250 species of bird and over 1,000 different flowering plants and grasses, the highest number of wild red deer in England and free living native Exmoor ponies, perfectly adapted to the upland conditions of Exmoor – just to name a few
