  • Getting a big property to the property (from the owner): I have a skoda octavia estate and have no problems, and we have had big BMW estates and currently a very large Saab. I can also get my Peugeot Boxer campervan up and down so it shouldnt be an issue at all. Its also during the sunmmer so the lane should be dry. Tell them to follow the instructions on the how to get there sheet and they will have no problem.

This cute semi-detached cottage is situated in a wooded valley with  footpath leading down to the beach. Peppercombe Holt sleeps four people and two dogs, has a modern, well-equipped kitchen, cosy living room and a tiered garden with a raised patio area. The cottage is one of two which is reached via a narrow, steep, gravel track (unsuitable for low suspension or wide vehicles) of just over a third of a mile. Vehicular access is to the two cottages only with a footpath continuing to the sea. Inside, Peppercombe Holt has a lovely living room with a large stone fireplace and wood burning stove, a wooden floor and latch doors which leads into the kitchen/diner with a slate floor, electric oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge and microwave. There is a useful utility area with a washer/dryer and freezer as well as plenty of handing and storage space for coats and boots. A modern bathroom with a shower cubicle and separate cloakroom complete the accommodation downstairs. Upstairs, all three bedrooms have lovely countryside views and the same traditional wooden doors as in the lower floor. There is a large master room with a double bed, another generous single room and a further smaller single. Outside, Peppercombe Holt boasts a pretty garden which has a covered pond and is sloped and tiered with varying areas to relax. To the side, there is a raised patio area and immediately in front of the cottage there is a picnic table. A pathway from the cottage leads down to Peppercombe Beach which is well known for its red cliffs and mini waterfall.

Adam M,

We didn’t want to leave to come home, as it felt like home from home, would love to live there.

A H,

A real delight; It worked really well for our family of 2 teenagers and 2 large dogs. The setting was beautiful and the owner very helpful.
