Swell is a spacious detached residence the shortest of walks from Croyde's stunning beach. It is presented with style and features contemporary decor and has been equipped to a high standard. It is in a quiet part of the village, but still close to the shops, pubs and restaurants. There are wood laminate floors throughout along with rugs and soft colours on the walls. There are leather sofas surround the slate hearth in the lounge and a woodburner for warm nights in. Beyond the modern and light well equipped kitchen is the south west facing garden. Two attractive bedrooms are served by a white suited family bathroom. The garage offers valuable storage for surfboards and bikes with a level garden ideal for al fresco dining. Croyde beach is rated as one of the best surfing beaches in the world. There is an RNLI lifeguard service available every day from May to September, during the Easter weekend, every weekend in October and during the October half term. If you like rock pooling, head to each end of the beach. And for walkers, there are several footpaths around the village and up to Baggy Point where you’ll be rewarded with an amazing view. This whole area is a designated Site of Special Scientific Interest for its geological features. Croyde has plenty of places to hire wet suits, surf boards, canoes and fishing equipment. A short drive takes you to Barnstaple, which is the commercial and agricultural centre of North Devon. It is a charming place that comfortably blends a handsome past with an energetic, present-day buzz. It has a mix of cutting-edge retail outlets, long-established family owned stores and little boutiques. The pannier market hosts local food producers interspersed with dozens of cafes. At weekends, Barnstaple makes wandering the streets a distinct pleasure, with performers and musicians out to entertain. There’s also a lovely 1930s cinema, which offers four modern screens showing the latest releases as well as live screenings of major theatre productions
