Description
This modern, detached house sleeping six people and two dogs, is a short walk from the beach and centre of Croyde. The Dunes has been thoughtfully furnished to provide comfortable holiday accommodation throughout the year. The open-plan lounge/diner is dual aspect with a stripped pine floor and patio doors opening out onto the fully-enclosed garden. There are plenty of comfy seats surrounding the electric woodburning-style stove and television; whilst the well-equipped kitchen has everything needed to cook up a delicious meal. Upstairs, there are three bedrooms – a master with a King-size bed and a Twin at the front of the house with distant sea views, and a room with Bunk beds overlooking the garden. Outside, there is oodles of storage in the garage for bikes and surfboards (it also houses the tumble dryer) and private parking on the drive. The front garden is open, whilst the rear garden and patio is fully enclosed. The Dunes is not far from the centre of Croyde and ten minutes from the beach which is one of North Devon’s most beautiful - a horse shoe bay of golden sand backed by dunes and lapped by the surf of the Atlantic Ocean. It’s popular all year round for surfing and the RNLI are there from May until September, throughout the Easter weekend plus October half term. There are rocks at either end of the beach providing pools full of hidden gems for children to explore. To the far side of the beach the headland of Baggy Point is owned by The National Trust and provides an exhilarating backdrop with pathways for walking. This whole area is designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) for its geological features. Croyde village itself has a wide range of cafes, restaurants and pubs. There are also plenty of places to hire wet suits, surf boards, canoes and fishing equipment without having to leave the village
