Description

Just ten minutes from Croyde Beach, Caen House is a beautifully presented detached property sleeping 11 people. Everything in the house is well thought through to provide a wonderful holiday home for families – a level lawn garden with barbecue, cosy snug on the top floor with a sofa and television and a wide selection of CDs and DVDs for entertaining evenings in. The huge kitchen/diner is the heart of the house with a long dining table capable of seating all 11 in the party, three sets of French doors opening out onto the garden, modern kitchen units and stone flagged floor.  A nearby utility room houses a washing machine, tumble dryer and fridge/freezer and there is also plenty of useful space for surfboards, walking boots and pushchairs. The light and airy living room has a lovely ornamental fireplace as its focal point and leather settees to relax in. A shower room completes the rooms on the ground floor. There are four bedrooms on the first floor – the master room has an en-suite bathroom, decked balcony with patio furniture (which can be accessed from the garden via a spiral staircase) and lovely views over the surrounding countryside. The other three rooms including a bunk bedded room share use of a modern shower room. There is also a study/nursery on this floor, whilst on the top floor there are two further bedrooms, a bathroom and the snug. Caen House is very close to the centre of Croyde Village with its choice of restaurants, cafes and surf shops – and is adjacent to the family and pet friendly Thatch pub serving delicious home cooked food.
