This quaint cottage lies in the heart of the popular village of Croyde.  Just a stone’s throw from a choice of shops, family friendly pubs and restaurants and a ten minute walk to the golden surfing sands of Croyde Beach.

The property has retained many of its original features such as beams, exposed stonework and wood flooring. All the ground floors rooms lead off from the spacious hallway.  Three steps lead up to the light and airy kitchen which incorporates an expanding table with chairs for quick snacks. There is plenty of workspace so once you have prepared that delicious evening meal the family can enjoy eating together in the more formal dining area just off the kitchen.  From here you can enjoy views of the enclosed garden through French doors which open out onto the decking leading to the relaxing hydro massage hot tub. There is also a lawn area, patio furniture and outdoor shower.

The cosy living room can be accessed either through a glass panelled door via the dining area or direct from the hallway. It has comfortable seating, Smart TV/DVD and an Apple TV box.  The property also has a modern family bathroom on the ground floor with slipper bath, step up to walk-in shower, WC, basin and copy underfloor heating.

Stairs from the hallway lead up to a split landing with further steps up to all bedrooms. The master room has a super-king with twin bed option (available on request at time of booking). This room has original beams and an A-frame ceiling.  It is a good size with plenty of light.  Leading off this room through a low door frame is a spacious, modern en-suite shower room with wood flooring, good size shower, WC and basin.  Bedroom 2 (the Surf Room) has twin beds with super-king option (available on request at time of booking). A stairgate is provided for this room which is a good size, has vaulted ceiling, exposed stonework and beams. Bedroom three is another good size super-king room with twin option (available on request at time of booking). Bedroom 4 is a bunk-bedded room for 3 with double below (limited head room) and single above. There is also an open loft type storage facility accessed by stairs for a travel cot and buggy both of which are supplied.

Barncott is a good family property in an extremely convenient situation. With a surfing beach within 10 minutes’ walk, the village of Braunton and market town of Barnstaple both within a short drive and the stunning Exmoor National Park within half an there is something to suit everyone in this beautiful area of North Devon.
