Characterful yet modern can be used to describe 2 Inglenook Cottages – a mid-terraced, three-bedroomed cottage near the centre of Croyde village and beach. Recently renovated to a high standard, the owners have retained many of its original features which give the property a cosy and homely feel. Beamed ceilings, exposed stone walls and solid wooden doors blend well with the modern style kitchen and bathroom. The living room has ample, comfortable seating for six people, a large dining table and a widescreen television. If you enjoy cooking and baking while on holiday, you will love the well-equipped kitchen. Situated at the back of the house, with a door leading into the courtyard, this light room is perfect for cooking up a holiday feast.
There are three bedrooms – a double downstairs off the kitchen with a nearby wet room, separate cloakroom; whilst a twin and further double bedroom upstairs share the family bathroom.
Outside there is a delightful enclosed garden which is perfect for warm summer evening al fresco dining. Accessed from the rear courtyard and up some communal steps, it has a picnic bench and barbeque area for you to bring your own disposable barbecues. A space at the front of the cottage allows you to unload your car upon arrival. After unloading, there is nearby limited on-street parking.
2 Inglenook Cottages is less than a five minute walk from the centre of Croyde and ten minutes from the beach which is rated as one of the best surfing beaches in the world. There is an RNLI Lifeguard service available every day from May to September, during the Easter weekend, every weekend in October and during the October half term. If you like rock pooling, head to each end of the beach. And for walkers, there are several footpaths around the village and up to Baggy Point where you’ll be rewarded with an amazing view. This whole area is designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) for its geological features.Croyde village itself has a wide range of cafes, restaurants and pubs – in fact, the cottage is opposite The Manor House, a family-friendly pub serving delicious homecooked food. There are also plenty of places to hire wet suits, surf boards, canoes and fishing equipment without having to leave the village.
