Description
St Brannocks Hill is a large detached home on the edge of Braunton set in a quiet spot within yards of the Tarka Trail cycle track. With accommodation for five in three bedrooms, it is the perfect spot to explore the beautiful Devon countryside on foot or bike. But the house is also within easy reach of the centre of thriving Braunton with countless shops, restaurants and pubs. The home enjoys a peaceful corner plot and is surrounded by mature gardens and lawns. The light and airy building is comfortable and features a double aspect lounge, which looks out across the garden. There is a kitchen/diner and from the hallway five steps lead up to the three bedrooms and family bathroom. Braunton has a variety of restaurants, pubs, cafes and shops. It is also home to the Braunton and District Museum, the Braunton Countryside Centre and the Museum of British Surfing. At the heart of what is said to be England's most biodiverse parish, Braunton Burrows is abundant with richly varied wildlife. First-time visitors to the Burrows are amazed by the scale of the sand dunes that gives them their name. The Tarka Trail, a footpath and cycle trail built along the route of the old railway line, runs through Braunton. A short drive takes you to Barnstaple, the commercial and agricultural centre of North Devon. It is a charming place that comfortably blends a handsome past with an energetic, present-day buzz. It has a mix retail outlets, long-established family owned stores and little boutiques. The pannier market hosts local food producers interspersed with dozens of cafes. At weekends, Barnstaple makes wandering the streets a distinct pleasure, with performers and musicians out to entertain. If the weather turns nasty, you’re well provided for in the town. Let’s Go is Barnstaple’s newest family entertainment complex. There’s also a lovely 1930s cinema in town which offers four modern screens showing the latest releases as well as live screenings of major theatre productions.
