Description
South Street Farm is close to the beating heart of thriving Braunton. This delightful home blends contemporary decor with many of the original farmhouse features. There is a roomy open plan living area in three distinct parts including a spacious dining area, fully equipped kitchen and cosy lounge with an attractive woodburner. Two separate staircases lead up to the three first floor bedrooms, which are served by two bathrooms, one featuring a stylish claw-footed, double-ended bath. There is a fully enclosed drive alongside the cottage with parking for two cars and a seating area with patio furniture for al fresco dining. A portion of the garage is available for bike storage.
Braunton has a variety of restaurants, pubs, cafes and shops. It is also home to the Braunton and District Museum, the Braunton Countryside Centre and the Museum of British Surfing. At the heart of what is said to be England's most biodiverse parish, Braunton Burrows is abundant with richly varied wildlife. First-time visitors to the Burrows are amazed by the scale of the sand dunes that gives them their name. The Tarka Trail, a footpath and cycle trail built along the route of the old railway line, runs through Braunton. A short drive takes you to Croyde, where the beach is rated as one of the best surfing beaches in the world. There is an RNLI lifeguard service available every day from May to September, during the Easter weekend, every weekend in October and during the October half term. If you like rock pooling, head to each end of the beach. And for walkers, there are several footpaths around the village and up to Baggy Point where you’ll be rewarded with an amazing view. This whole area is a Site of Special Scientific Interest. Croyde has plenty of places to hire wet suits, surf boards, canoes and fishing equipment
