Description

Westmead is a modern semi in a quiet corner of Braunton close to the village amenities and a short drive from the beach. There is a spacious lounge with large pictures windows flooding the home with natural light. A fully fitted modern kitchen and large dining table encourage meals in, while a delightful garden with patio, and built-in barbecue is perfect for al fresco dining. Upstairs there are three bedrooms with two doubles and a twin room. Completing the accommodation upstairs is an attractive family bathroom, while an additional shower room on the ground floor is a bonus. A short walk takes you into the centre of Braunton, which has a variety of restaurants, pubs, cafes and shops. It is also home to the Braunton and District Museum, the Braunton Countryside Centre and the Museum of British Surfing. At the heart of what is said to be England's most biodiverse parish, Braunton Burrows is abundant with richly varied wildlife. First-time visitors to the Burrows are amazed by the scale of the sand dunes that gives them their name. The Tarka Trail, a footpath and cycle trail built along the route of the old railway line, runs through Braunton. Two miles west is the lovely beach at Croyde, which is rated as one of the best surfing beaches in the world. There is an RNLI lifeguard service available every day from May to September, during the Easter weekend, every weekend in October and during the October half term. If you like rock pooling, head to each end of the beach. And for walkers, there are several footpaths around the village and up to Baggy Point where you’ll be rewarded with an amazing view. This whole area is a designated Site of Special Scientific Interest for its geological features. Croyde has plenty of places to hire wet suits, surf boards, canoes and fishing equipment. Barnstaple is a short drive inland. It is the commercial centre of North Devon - a charming place that blends a handsome past with an energetic, present-day buzz

Reviews

Very well equipped, very good use of space. Pretty plants on patio. Comfortable holiday home.

Mrs Jane L,

The property was clean well equipped and we all really enjoyed our stay there. The property was excellent value for money and as we all love Braunton it is in a good location. All my dealings with Marsdens were excellent you were all a pleasure to deal with. Thank you very much.

Mr Mark S,
