Delightful barn conversion situated on the edge of the village of Berrynarbor yet only a short distance from the dramatic south west coastline and National park of Exmoor. Combe Martin is a small seaside resort with a sheltered sandy cove and is only 3 miles away or take the coastal path and hike along to Great Hangman (the tallest sea cliff in mainland Britain), or follow the 230 hidden steps down to Golden Cove for some spectacular views. The beautiful hotel Sandy Cove is only a five-minute stroll away so if your attending a wedding this would provide an ideal base.
This lovingly restored property has influences from the owners travels in Mexico. Steeped in history and once the old dairy for Watermouth Castle this has now been transformed into a light and spacious family home, with vaulted wooden washed ceilings in the bedrooms upstairs and open plan kitchen/dining/living rooms downstairs to take in all the light and surrounding countryside views. It was superb.
Great location, spacious and full of charm.
Four adults, two children and one scrappy doo all had a lovely time in this marvellous house and garden. The friendly sheep were a big hit and watching the bats swoop around that pretty, wild garden was great! We will also miss the amazing ice cream!

We loved our stay at Top Shippon. Plenty of everything you need - comfy cosy beds, amazing shower, beautiful well, maintained gardens offering a lovely view of the srea. Coastal walks were superb, great cycling routes (if you like a hill or two!) and Woolacombe beach - absolutely agree - the best in the UK and might I go as far to say pretty close to our Australian Beaches. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
Thank you for a wonderful stay in Devon. Great beaches, fab weather and really comfortable house.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The garden has amazing views and inside the great space and comfy sofas were great to relax on. Bedrooms, bathrooms were all comfy, shower was really good. We had lots of lovely walks and visits to the beach and woodland walks near "Hunters Lodge". Every single thing you may need is here for cooking etc. We highly recommend this place and will be coming back!
