Sinbad cottage is quietly located in one of the many cobbled lanes that lead off the quay in the historic and picturesque fishing village of Appledore.  Offering an eclectic mix of shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants along with a selection of chandlers stores, antique and book shops many of which are tucked away in the lanes amid the colourful fisherman's cottages. Visitors will enjoy the lovely views from the quay. There is always something to see as sailing boats , fishing boats and motor boats criss-cross the water and the antics of seagulls and cormorants keep you amused. Across the estuary the popular resort of Instow can be reached by a small passenger ferry in season.  This village has a sandy beach and an additional selection of pubs and restaurants. Within a 10 minute drive you will find the seaside resort of Westward Ho! with its two mile stretch of sandy Blue Flag beach and the heritage and character of the Elizabethan Port town of Bideford where you can take a boat trip to Lundy Island. For families The Big Sheep and Milky Way are nearby and the famous cobbled harbour village of Clovelly just a half hours drive down the coast towards North Cornwall is well worth a visit.  Appledore is situated perfectly for walking the beautiful South West Coast Path and for exploring the miles of footpaths and cycleways along the Tarka Trail. This character cottage can be found close to the centre of the village just a short stroll from the shops and quayside. Cosy and welcoming with a wood-burning stove for the cooler seasons the cottage has two attractive bedrooms on the first floor (via a steep staircase) and an open plan living/dining/ kitchen on the ground floor along with an family bathroom.  A small fully enclosed courtyard at the rear is ideal for relaxing after a enjoyable day out.
