A short (300m) downhill walk takes you directly to the quayside of the quaint fishing village of Appledore, which is known for its colourful fisherman’s cottages, cobbled streets, interesting artist studios, character pubs, restaurants and cafes.

The property is light and airy and well-presented throughout.  3 steps lead down from the parking area, with a single step up to the front door, which opens into a good-sized hallway with all rooms leading off.  A spacious dual aspect living/dining room has a comfy corner settee, leather ‘story teller’ armchair and a 49” wall mounted Panasonic 4K Smart TV.  From the dining area views of the estuary can be enjoyed through the patio doors that lead into a large conservatory where further comfy seating provides an additional living space ideal for relaxing whilst watching the fishing boats and water sports enthusiasts no matter what the season.  A well-equipped kitchen, with Bosch appliances, facing the estuary also leads into the conservatory.  Two good sized and attractive bedrooms provide flexible sleeping.  A twin room at the rear benefits from the great estuary views and has zip ‘n’ link beds that can be converted to a super king on request at time of booking, as well as a pull-out single bed that can be used for alternative sleeping.  The second bedroom is at the front of the property with a double bed. A family bathroom completes the internal accommodation.  A large rear enclosed patio garden is on various levels with a paved area ideal for alfresco dining. 

Appledore is an ideal location being just a few miles from the pebble ridge backed Blue Flag surfing beach at Westward Ho! or the popular estuary beach at Instow accessed via the walk-on ferry from Appledore quay. Within North Devon’s Biosphere Reserve, and being part of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, there are great opportunities to enjoy the spectacular coastal scenery as well as the diverse flora and fauna on close by Northam Burrows. Appledore is also well placed for visiting the pretty coast and countryside towns and villages North Devon has to offer.  These include the privately owned and picturesque village of Clovelly, the Elizabethan Port Town of Bideford as well as the popular visitor attractions of Dartington Glass and RHS Garden Rosemoor.  For families, and young at heart, The Milky Way and Big Sheep are great popular attractions for all children of all ages.
