If you are at a loss for something to do during January, why not visit Barnstaple Museum. With so many artefacts it’s sure to fascinate all the family. From local pottery to butterflies, animal skeletons and early household appliances the list is endless.
Until 11th January you can also view “North Devon in Photos” an exhibition of selected entries from the North Devon Heritage Photographic Competition which is run in partnership with the North Devon Coast Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the Exmoor Moorland Landscape Partnership. Photographers were invited to capture the unique and outstanding coastal scenery of North Devon and Exmoor throughout the seasons.
There is a gift shop selling souvenirs, cards, toys etc and also a tea room with refreshments available.
The Museum is located on the Square in Barnstaple and admission is free.
