A Smart Move

Had a lovely time strolling around Marwood Hill Gardens at the weekend.
Marwood can be located between Barnstaple and Braunton. The late Dr James Smart bought the house and grounds in the 1940's and since then the gardens have been nurtured and established into the award winning delight that they are today. The tea rooms overlooking the gardens provide delicious homemade refreshments, including traditional and ginger cream teas!
Several ducks have been nesting along the banks of the vast lake, whilst large fish patrol the depths beneath. Some fish are really big - we almost expected to hear the Jaws theme! Even the sun made a much needed and delightful appearance.
All in all a great way to spend our Sunny Sunday!
