Woolacombe, Saunton and Croyde area

The extensive, surf washed golden sands of Woolacombe, Putsborough, Croyde and Saunton are unquestionably amongst the finest beaches in Europe.

Sheltered by cliffs or sand dunes and studded with fascinating rock pools, they make an ideal centrepiece for pure relaxation or watersport holidays.

The local pubs, discos and amusements of Woolacombe make it especially popular with young families and surfing enthusiasts. For tranquility on outstandingly beautiful National Trust headlands overlooking the bay and Lundy Island, there is Putsborough and Mortehoe.
