North Devon Overview
The freedom to come and go as you please - in peace, privacy,
comfort and at a small fraction of hotel prices - has made
self-catering holidays so much more popular in recent years.
Nowhere is this more true than in North Devon. The area has
always appealed to the more independent spirit and is renowned
for its relaxed pace of life and the character and friendliness
of its people.
With natural assets including some of Europe's finest surfing
beaches and dramatically beautiful National Trust coastline,
moorland and countryside, it's no wonder that the locals are
so contented!

The advent of motorways and the North
Devon Link Road from the M5, have made all of this so
much more accessible. Yet with property prices generally
being more sensible than in south coast resorts, self
catering in North Devon still offers exceptional value.
This is especially true during Spring and Autumn when
you can enjoy the profusion of flowers and wildlife,
and surf washed sandy beaches in absolute tranquillity.
Being one of the last Celtic outposts and a thriving
medieval and Elizabethan trading centre, North Devon
is also steeped in history and romantic legends that
have inspired such books as Lorna Doone and Westward
Ho!. Beautiful old churches and historic houses are
therefore to be found throughout the area - whilst
in more recent times, virtually every entertainment
and
sporting need has also been amply catered for.
If you
need a holiday away from the noise, drabness and
stress of modern day living, North Devon will certainly
not disappoint you. By choosing from our selection
of recommended properties we are also confident that
your
accommodation will not disappoint you.
