About North Devon
Our holiday cottages in North Devon have access to over 130 miles of coastline - home to long sandy beaches, hidden rock pools, high cliffs and magical fishing villages, all of them providing plenty of locations for family days out, watersports and beachcombing.
Our self catering accommodation in North Devon's towns and villages are equally appealing - they're home to a vast array of small shops, local food markets, museums, arts and crafts and antique dealers. And North Devon's attractions are among the best in the country - wildlife encounters, adrenaline-fuelled adventures or cultural visits- they're all here!
Woolacombe, Saunton and Croyde
Head to our Woolacombe cottages for one of the top ten beaches in the UK - big enough for watersports enthusiasts and families alike!
Nearby, our holiday homes in Saunton have access to the national nature reserve of Braunton Burrows, whilst the South West Coast Path runs through the village for you to enjoy.
North of Saunton, the olde worlde charm of our Croyde cottages captures the hearts of visitors year after year. Pretty thatched cottages line the historic lanes where little shops offer a delicious choice of ice cream or clotted cream, the peace and quiet a glorious contrast to the excitement of Croyde beach.
Ilfracombe, Berrynarbor and Combe Martin
Our cottages in Ilfracombe enjoy a timeless elegance with all the advantages of a modern resort - set conveniently near both Exmoor and the 'Golden Coast.'
For something smaller Berrynarbor offers an idyllic setting of whitewashed cottages scattered with a selection of pubs and tearooms.
And for a pretty, sheltered bay complete with rock pools and nearby shops and cafés head to our Combe Martin properties!
Exmoor, Lynmouth and South Molton
Our Exmoor cottages are set in one of England's smallest National Parks, yet its diverse landscape of wild moorland, steeply-wooded combes, ancient oak forests and gentle hills offer a setting of beauty and peace that has inspired countless artists, poets and writers throughout the ages. Some 680 miles of bridleways and cycle path give ample opportunity to see Exmoor's diverse wildlife, including the Red Deer and Exmoor pony.
To the north you can find the delightful harbour of Lynmouth and to the south, just over the Exmoor border, the picturesque market town of South Molton, known for its antique shops. Escape to Exmoor for a real get-away-from-it-all holiday!
Barnstaple, Braunton and Instow
Tucked between the Rivers Taw and Yeo, our self-catering cottages in Barnstaple enjoy a lively array of independent and big brand shops, restaurants, pubs, cafés and markets - everything you need in one lovely setting!
Nearby, our Braunton holiday homes enjoy the best of both worlds in what is known as the 'gateway to the golden coast' and the largest village in England. Beach lovers will be delighted to find that Saunton Sands is nearby, a three-mile expanse of golden beach backed by the rolling dunes of Braunton Burrows.
Further south, our elegant Instow homes, boast spectacular views of the sea, sit at the confluence of the Rivers Taw and Torridge and just across the water from the 'little white fishing village' of Appledore.
Appledore, Westward Ho! and Torridge
Described by Charles Kingsley as a 'little white fishing village', our holiday homes in Appledore sit where the rivers Torridge and Taw meet, with a fascinating selection of galleries, craft shops and places to eat making Appledore a popular location for a cottage holiday at any time of year.
Our Westward Ho! cottages are set near a sandy two-mile beach known as Golden Bay and behind it the famous Pebble Ridge and Northam Burrows Country Park. Guests can enjoy the Royal North Devon Golf Course and a large area of sand dunes which are home to a rich variety of birds insects and wild flowers.
Our Torridge holiday homes nestle between the River Torridge and the Hartland Peninsula, stretching as far as Welcombe on the Cornish border - head to Bideford, near the mouth of the Torridge, to find a beautiful quay bustling with fishing vessels plus a plethora of shops, pubs, galleries and restaurants.
Hartland, Clovelly and Buck Mills
At the most north-westerly point in Devon, our Hartland holiday homes are set near a handsome Georgian square and a thriving selection of pubs and shops. The surrounding Hartland Peninsula boasts breathtaking scenery and some spectacular clifftop walks.
Nestled between Bideford and Hartland, our cottages in Clovelly enjoy a full calendar of maritime and seafood festivals. Clovelly's cobbled high street tumbles down 400ft of cliff to a tiny harbour and lifeboat station protected by an ancient stone breakwater. The narrow streets are complemented by charming whitewashed houses which are delightfully undisturbed by traffic - here donkeys famously carry goods up the car-free village whilst sledges bring deliveries down!
Just east of Clovelly, our holiday homes in Buck's Mills are set on the edge of a small rock face within North Devon's coastal Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. A pretty stream falls over the rocky cliff edge onto a pebble beach - here you can see a 'gut' on the rocks where Elizabethans used gunpowder to allow access to a former quay.
