Let Your Property

Letting your property not only provides you with a source of income, it can also be very satisfying! Providing holiday accommodation is a positive and rewarding experience and our customers really appreciate the efforts homeowners go to in providing comfortable and clean accommodation.

Many of our existing owners have been with us for a number of years - a mutually beneficial and loyal relationship is a priority for us. We are proud of the service we offer and our relationship with our owners.

Will it be financially worthwhile?

Here in the South West there is always demand for good quality holiday accommodation. Owning and letting furnished holiday accommodation means there are tax benefits to be gained and we are happy to offer some general guidance on these, though the rules can and do change and we encourage every homeowner to seek professional advice.

How much will you earn?

We have various price breaks throughout the year, and properties are individually priced within each of these taking into account their size, location, equipment, furnishings and market demand.

Once the price break for your property has been agreed, it´s easy to work out exactly what you will earn from letting it out with Completely Cottages. We take a commission of 20% of the advertised letting fee (plus VAT) on the weeks we sell, minus the Cancellation Protection Scheme fee, which is included in the brochure price.

When will you be paid?

TABS, our industry-leading booking system, is integrated with our bank to initiate payments to homeowners. You will be paid by BACS during the first week of each month for bookings commencing in the previous month. Every month you will receive a statement which details your income for the current year and shows future bookings. We also produce an annual statement to help in the completion of your Tax Return.

Cancellation Protection Scheme

Completely Cottages include a CPS fee in the advertised cost of all our cottage holidays. This means that homeowners are guaranteed 100% of the owner rate for any cancelled booking so long as we have the opportunity to try to rebook the property. As soon as customers have paid their initial deposit they are protected by CPS so long as the reason for cancelling is one of the qualifying reasons stated in our brochure. The scheme is self-funded and we bear the risk ourselves. To cover this we deduct the CPS fee from the brochure price before we calculate our commission. The CPS is not insurance and we do not have a company that underwrites this risk.
