The village has great charm with interesting art galleries, restaurants, chandlers, post office and several character pubs serving excellent meals. Fresh fish may be purchased on the quay, and fishing and boat trips are easily arranged, in season. The three mile surf-washed sandy beach of Westward Ho! and the Elizabethan port of Bideford with all town amenities are each within a ten minute drive, with the historic fishing villages around Clovelly and miles of magnificent National Trust coast paths a short drive beyond.
The cottage has been renovated to an exceptionally high standard with a quality contemporary finish, including solid oak and bamboo flooring throughout. Accommodation is very comfortably furnished and well equipped with colour co-ordinated furnishings and decor, and benefits from gas full central heating.
