The surrounding fields and woods are home to a variety of wildlife including red deer, foxes, rabbits, badgers and buzzards. Some meadows have been traditionally grazed for centuries and consequently may have rare species of flowers, meadows grasses and butterflies. The River Exe provides excellent trout and salmon fishing (daily permits available). Magnificent walking and riding country, with nearby riding stables and superb walks all around including the beautiful Exe Valley footpath running through the farm. Local riverside pub offering good bar snacks, and excellent restaurant are just one mile. Market town amenities of Bampton or Dulverton within two miles. Ideal for exploring Exmoor with many well known beauty spots nearby, yet within a comfortable and very scenic drive of North Devon's award-winning sandy beaches. Dunster, with its fine castle and reputation as `the prettiest village on Exmoor' is a 20 minute drive, whilst Minehead, Blue Anchor Bay and the famous Weir at Porlock are also nearby. Wimbleball Reservoir is just four miles and offers fishing, adventure playground, picnic spots and a variety of watersports.
